Kazakhstani museum workers to be trained at Hermitage
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani museum workers are to be trained at the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
According to General Director of the Kazakh Scientific and Research Institute of Culture Andrei Khazbulatov, the tripartite cooperation agreement between the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Scientific and Research Institute of Culture and the State Hermitage Museum was signed earlier this year. This is the first long-term agreement with of one the biggest art museums in Russia. "Training for museum workers in the sphere of history, culture, archeology, museology and restoration will be a part of the cooperation program," Mr. Khazbulatov revealed. He also stressed that scientific conferences, seminars, lectures and expositions of the Hermitage and Kazakh National Museum's exhibit items will be held within the framework of the cooperation agreement. "Signing and implementation of this program will solidify relations between the two countries in the sphere of culture," he added.
