Kazakhstani citizens to avoid travelling to Saudi Arabia amid coronavirus outbreak

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstanis are highly recommended to avoid visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amid growing number of cases of pneumococcal disease and coronavirus.

"We highly recommend citizens of Kazakhstan to avoid travelling to Saudi Arabia and Middle East countries," Vice Chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Consumers' Rights Protection Zhandarbek Bekshin announced at a press conference on Thursday. In his words, it is connected with the recent outbreak of pneumococcal disease and coronavirus in those countries. Saudi Arabia's Health Ministry has also recommended people with compromised immunity to avoid visiting the country. Nearly 700 cases have been confirmed in Saudi Arabia and Middle East countries so far. 280 people have already died due to the outbreak.
