Kazakhstani citizen dies in construction site fire in Omsk

A citizen of Kazakhstan died in a fire at a construction site in Omsk, Russia, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, Qazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family and relatives of Maksim Baginskiy, who died in the fire in Omsk on August 18, 2026.
Kazakhstan’s Consulate General in Omsk is providing the necessary consular and legal assistance, including help with processing documents and coordinating with Russian authorities regarding the circumstances of the citizen’s death.
The foreign ministry said it remains in contact with the victim’s family and is providing assistance within its authority.
