Kazakhstani beats Hantuchova to book Hobart quarterfinal spot

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani Zarina Diyas continues to demonstrate her impressive form at WTA's Hobart International in Australia, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
Early Thursday morning second seed Diyas celebrated impressive 7:5, 6:1 win over wildcard Daniela Hantuchova in the second-round encounter. World №31 Diyas needed 1h 36 min to route the 31-year-old Slovak. In quarterfinal Diyas will play American Alison Riske. Earlier it was reported that Zarina edged out Silvia Soler-Espinosa of Spain in straight sets 6:3, 6:4 in Round 1 of Hobart International. The Kazakhstani is also expected to kick off her Melbourne campaign next week.
