Kazakhstani athletes win Asian Relays Championships gold in China
Kazakhstan’s national athletics team won a gold medal at the Asian Relays Championships currently being held in Shaoxing, China, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the National Olympic Committee.
The Kazakh athletes claimed victory in the mixed 4x400-meter relay. The team consisted of Elnor Mukhitdinov, Mariya Shuvalova, Andrey Sokolov, and Adelina Zems, who finished with a time of 3 minutes 16.75 seconds.
The silver medal went to India, whose team recorded a time of 3:17.06, while the host nation, China, took bronze with a time of 3:17.20.
The Asian Relays Championships will conclude on June 21. On the final day of competition, Kazakh athletes are also set to compete in the men's and women's 4x400-meter relay events.
Earlier, Qazinform reported Kazakhstan’s Druzin had claimed bronze at the Artistic Swimming World Cup Super Final in Canada.
