Kazakhstani and European doctors will improve early cancer detection program
ASTANA. November 21. KAZINFORM - Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology (KazRIOR) of the Ministry of Health of the country has endorsed a memorandum with the European School of Oncology (ESO) on cooperation in the fields of education and research.
Kazakh and European doctors will further improve the early diagnosis of cancer programs. As part of this document it is also planned to train specialists of cancer services in the country for prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation conforming to international standards.
"The program of cooperation with KazRIOR at the moment is a priority for ESO. The purpose of this program is to contribute to improvement of cancer treatments in Kazakhstan to carry out cultural exchange and mutual development of the regions of Europe and Eurasia", said the director of the school Alberto Costa.
ESO is a respected international non-governmental organization of physicians. Its main goal lies in contributing to the reduction of cancer mortality from late diagnosis and inadequate treatment. In Kazakhstan the school is actively cooperating with the government and leading hospitals regarding the state program of cancer care development.
