Kazakhstan works out its national export strategy

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Industry and New Technologies Ministry jointly with the National Export and Investments Agency KAZNEX INVEST developed the national export strategy of Kazakhstan. Its presentation took place today in Astana.

Its presentation took place today in Astana. The strategy prioritizes metallurgy, engineering, chemical and food processing industries. According to the organizers, the goal is to build up new production lines to create high-quality and diversified export basket. Its defines 12 main market outlets for Kazakhstan's export, such as Russia and its bordering districts, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, China and its western regions, Afghanistan, Iran, and the EU. Currently, Kazakhstan ranks 42 in the list of the world exporters and its export geography embraces 119 countries. The country takes the lead in the uranium, flour, wheat and crude oil export.
