Kazakhstan women's judo team to World Cup in Brazil announced
ASTANA. August 8. KAZINFORM The head coach of the women's team of Kazakhstan's Judo Zhaken Salamatov has informed of the team composition for the World Cup in Brazil, reports Vesti.kz.
In Rio de Janeiro there will be the following athletes - Aigul Baikuleva and Alexander Podryadova (to 48 pounds), Lenaria Mingazova (to 52 pounds), Dinara Kudarova (up to 70 kg), Anar Seitimova (up to 78, kg) and Gulzhan Isanova (more than 78 kilograms). The most experienced in this part are Alexander Podryadova and Gulzhan Isanova, who took part in the London 2012 Olympics.
The last gathering before the World Cup team will take place in Taldykorgan and Almaty. According to Salamatov, it will be difficult to get a medal in Brazil. If someone gets into the top five, that will be a good result. The mentor also explained why the girl had not almost participated at the World Cup.
"I took the team in December, and the athletes were in a very bad shape", said Salamatov. "Therefore it did not make sense to go to tournaments, and we have focused on training. During six months we took part in only one tournament in the Czech Republic and the Asian Championship, where the team was third in the contest. "
