Kazakhstan welcomes steps to normalize relations between U.S., Cuba

"Cuba and the United States have been Kazakhstan's longstanding partners since the early days of our independence. We have developed full-fledged partnerships with both of these countries over these years. In this regard, Kazakhstan welcomes steps by both countries to resume diplomatic relations and contacts between the people of Cuba and the United States. Kazakhstan hopes that this effort contributes to further normalization of bilateral relations in the spirit of good-neighborly relations and full-scale cooperation," the statement reads.
