Kazakhstan weather forecast for May 8
A low-pressure system and associated fronts are forecast to sweep across most parts of Kazakhstan, bringing rains and thunderstorms on Friday. Heavy rain, hail, and strong squalls are likely in the northern and western regions, accompanied by early morning fog, Qazinform News Agency reports.
The National Weather Service Kazhydromet said only the southeast of the country is to see no precipitation. The country is to expect strong wind, shipping up dust tides in the south and southeast.
Forecasters predict high fire danger in Kyzylorda, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Ulytau, Abai, Zhetysu, north, south, center of Turkistan, north, west, east, center of Zhambyl, north, center of Almaty, south of Aktobe, southeast of Akmola, west of North Kazakhstan, west, northwest of East Kazakhstan regions.
The southeast and south of Zhetysu region are to brace for extreme fire danger.
Earlier, Qazinform reported rainy conditions are forecast for much of Kazakhstan during the upcoming holidays.
