Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan pleased with current level of cooperation

TASHKENT. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani delegation headed by First Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev paid a visit to Tashkent on December 26. Kazakhstani officials participated in the 14th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek side was headed by First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Finance Rustam Azimov. At the session, the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation, including state and prospects of commercial and economic cooperation, interaction in energy, industry, and transport spheres and further expansion of contractual legal framework. Joint water management was in the spotlight of the meeting as well. The sides praised the current state of commercial and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In conclusion, participants of the Kazakh-Uzbek Joint Intergovernmental Commission inked joint Protocol. The last session of the commission was held in Astana on June 3-4, 2013 in Astana.
