Kazakhstan, US discussed prospects on establishment of joint meat producing enterprises in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. July 18. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's Ambassador to the USA Erlan Idrissov met with Kansas state Governor Sam Brownback within his trip to the state. He also held meetings with heads of the Kansas State University and representatives of the business community of the state. The Embassy of Kazakhstan in the US informs.
The sides discussed the prospects of establishment of joint enterprises in Kazakhstan on processing and realization of agricultural and meat products with high added value for further export to Russia, China and countries of Central Asia.
The Kazakhstan's Ambassador invited S. Brownback to Kazakhstan to take part in the events dedicated to celebration of the 20th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan, establishment of diplomatic relations with USA and closing of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site.
Besides, the prospects of cooperation between the Kansas State University and Kazakhstan's Agricultural University named after S. Seifullin were discussed. The memorandum on cooperation between the two higher education institutes was signed earlier. The American side is interested in cooperation between farmers' associations of the two countries, joint research works and education of Kazakhstan's students in the States.
