Kazakhstan to unveil Abai Monument in Tashkent

ASTANA. January 21. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "Kazakhstan will unveil the Abai Monument in Tashkent by the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence," Culture Minister Mukhtar Kul-Muhhamed told at today's enlarged session of the Ministry's board involving PM Karim Massimov.

Last year Sultan Baybars Mausoleum in Cairo, 19 monuments in 12 regions of Kazakhstan were restored. Restoration of Sultan Baybars Mausoleum is complete. The mausoleum is a complex built by Sultan Baybars back to 1266. It consists of the school, library and mausoleum. The library numbers more than 200 000 rare books. The historic-cultural centre and mausoleum in Damascus are being reconstructed yet.
