Kazakhstan to transfer 25% stake in Satpayev oil field to Indian company

ASTANA. April 16. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ A package of documents on the deal on the transfer of a 25 per cent stake in the project "Satpayev" to Indian company ONGC Videsh Limited was signed during the official visit of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Astana on Saturday.
"The most important result of the visit became the initiative on cooperation in oil and gas sphere. We have signed a contract on joint development of oil deposit on the Caspian shelf," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said it at a press conference after the talks with M. Singh.
