Kazakhstan to toughen requirements for tour operators

ASTANA. August 22. KAZINFORM Responding to increasing number of complaints against tour agencies, Kazakhstan will toughen requirements for tour operators, according to a new law drafted by Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Provisions of the legislation includes an increase of the amount of insurance for tour operators and travel agents, the ministry said in a news statement.
It also seeks to increase civil liability and guarantee of the tour operator in case of default or improper performance of a contract on the implementation of tourism products.
