Kazakhstan to spend over 500bln tenge on housing construction in 2025
Kazakhstan is set to spend more than 500 billion tenge on housing construction, Kazinform News Agency reports.
“To commission 19 million square meters of housing, as planned for 2025, the issue of allocation of additional 500.5 billion tenge from the Baiterek Holding is being explored,” said the minister.
In his words, this sum will be spent on the purchase of 21,000 thousand rental apartments to the amount of 300 billion tenge. 120.6 billion tenge will be spent on laying engineering and utilities infrastructure. 80 billion tenge will be spent on financing 2-10-20 and 5-10-20 mortgage programs of Otbasy Bank.
Earlier it was reported that 19 million square meters of housing or 175,000 apartments will be built in Kazakhstan in 2025. Additional 111 million square meters of housing is planned to be built by 2029.
