Kazakhstan to spend 380 billion on social modernization in 2013

ASTANA. October 5. KAZINFORM Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov stressed how important it was to develop qualitative education, one of the fundamentals required to build innovative economy, at the extended session of the Nur Otan faction of the Kazakh Senate on Friday in Astana.

"Today we witness the successful development of the Nazarbayev University, a brand new project aimed at transfer of three important components - education, science and innovations. It is necessary to disseminate and gradually implement this model throughout the national system of education," the Head of the Government noted.

"The republican budget for 2013 provides KZT 379.4 billion on realization of the tasks given by the Head of State in the article "Social Modernization of Kazakhstan: Twenty Steps to a Universal Labor Society", he added.
