ANA. June 29. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Making a speech at the Town-Planning Forum in Astana today, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has noted that due to the accrued capital Kazakhstan did not suffer from the crisis too much, "though 50 countries of the world are on the verge of bankruptcy."
According to him, it is unknown whether the crisis has already reached the bottom. "Everything will depend on revival of the large world economies as the USA, European Union, Japan. We anticipate that in the first half of 2009 the economy of our country will be on the last year's level. We will try to prevent the decline", N. Nazarbayev said.
