Kazakhstan to open embassies in Mexico, Ethiopia and South Africa

ASTANA. October 16. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan plans to open its embassies in Mexico and Ethiopia.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov announced at the Government Hour of the Kazakh Senate on Wednesday.

According to him, Kazakhstan has directed its eye to new regions and wants to expand the horizons of its diplomacy.

"We also plan to strengthen cooperation with Africa with its vast economic opportunities. The diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan in South Africa is to be opened as we are preparing for the upcoming visit of President Nazarbayev to the RSA later this year. Next year the embassy of Kazakhstan will open its doors in Ethiopia and through our representative office there we will consolidate our interaction with the African countries," the Minister added.

In his words, the Latin America is a dynamically developing region that wants to cooperation with Kazakhstan as well.

"We've just opened our embassy in Brazil. The diplomatic mission in Mexico is set to be unveiled next year," Mr. Idrissov concluded.
