This year, the Congress brought together more than 1,500 delegates from 16 countries.

In his remarks at a plenary session, Bektenov noted that Kazakhstan’s economic growth in 2025 reached 6.5% and gross domestic product hit $300 billion for the first time.

He said that Kazakhstan will continue working to ensure sustainable economic growth through the implementation of modern industrial policy, based on competitive advantages of the country and creation of new-generation productions.

"Kazakhstan is implementing a large-scale program for geological exploration of its mineral resources. Detailed geological mapping of the country has already begun, with the area covered by geological surveys expected to exceed 2 million square kilometers. Under the President’s instructions, the government will invest approximately $470 million in geological exploration between 2026 and 2028 alone - an amount comparable to total spending over the previous two decades," he said.

“Our goal is not only to increase the level of geological knowledge of the country’s territory, but also to build a modern geological sector based on advanced technologies, digital solutions, and international partnerships. New discoveries must serve as the foundation for future projects in mining, processing, and the production of high-value-added goods,” Bektenov noted.
