Kazakhstan to introduce robotic cardiac surgery
Kazakhstan introduces methods of robotic cardiac surgery, Chairman of the Board of the National Scientific Center of Cardiac Surgery Yuri Pya told in his interview for PM.kz.
"We plan to introduce such methods of treatment as robotic cardiac surgery when robots are involved in operations," the Head of the National Center said.
Yuri Pya emphasized that many operations involving cardiology, cardiac surgery and interventional surgery were performed in Kazakhstan now.
"Great breakthrough can be made in interventional cardiology when hybrid interventions are made," Yuri Pya said.
The Center also plans to implant a fully artificial heart replacing the heart of a patient.
According to him, Kazakhstan has all opportunities to join the top 20 world countries in terms of the cardiac surgery development index. "Our main goal is to make cardiac surgery of Kazakhstan affordable," Yuri Pya resumed.
