Kazakhstan to increase subsidies to poultry enterprises to 15.4 bn tenge

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "This year, it is planned to allocate 15.4 billion tenge in investment subsidies to poultry enterprises of Kazakhstan," Vice Minister of Agriculture Gulmira Issayeva announced at the III Kazakhstan Forum of Poultry Producers in Borovoye.

"While noting the positive dynamics of subsidizing this industry, I will say that in 2012 the volume of subsidies amounted to 11.5 billion tenge, in 2013 - 13.6 billion tenge, this year - 15.4 billion tenge. In the next seven years it is expected to increase the volume of subsidization of poultry products 1.5 times," she said.

At the same time, she noted that the Ministry of Agriculture expects that poultry producers introduce technologies to increase the volume of chilled meat. The share of chilled meat is to be increased from the current 10% to 50%, the primeminister.kz reports.

According to the Deputy Minister, in the future it is planned to increase poultry production by 150 thousand tons. The point is that it is necessary to invest in the construction of new poultry farms.

Target indicators of the existing program Agribusiness 2020 are to increase the share of chilled poultry to 85% by 2020, reduce import dependence 1.7 times, Issayeva concluded.
