Kazakhstan to increase amount of transit oil through Ukraine
KIEV-ASTANA. September 14. KAZINFORM Kazakh and Ukrainian Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Viktor Yanukovych respectively agreed on increasing the amount of transit of Kazakh oil through the Ukrainian territory to 8 mln tons.
V. Yanukovych said it at the press conference that was held after the negotiations with the Kazakh Leader.
'We agreed to increase the transit oil to 8 mln tons, the certain amount of which may be left for Ukrainian refinery plants in accordance with several agreements', V. Yanukovych said.
N. Nazarbayev, in turn, expressed his positive view on the negotiations especially in electric power industry.
'The transit of Kazakh oil through the Ukrainian territory was stopped at certain moment. Now the situation has changed, the transit will continue', N. Nazarbayev added.
