Kazakhstan to implement project on single information system of healthcare by 2015

ASTANA. January 30. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's program on launching the single information system of the healthcare sphere is planned to be implemented by 2015, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Yerbol Orynbayev said at an enlarged session of the Healthcare Ministry of Kazakhstan.

"We have already introduced a 'paperless' hospital in Astana and Akmola region. The World Bank implements a great project on computerization of all hospitals. The biggest workload falls on 2013-2014 and by 2015 the project has to be finished," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the computerization process will be introduced stage by stage. At first, it will be done in all central hospitals of all the regions. Presently, more than 750 thousand electronic medical passports of the population have been prepared.
