Kazakhstan to export honey to EU
Kazakhstan has officially received permission to export honey to the European Union countries, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Ministry of Agriculture.
The relevant resolution of the European Commission was published on February 21, 2025.
“This achievement is a result of longstanding work of Kazakhstan’s Agriculture Ministry. Large-scale work was conducted to develop and implement the National Residue Monitoring Plan for Honey, which became an important stage adding Kazakhstan into the list of countries eligible for exporting this product to the EU. As part of preparation, numerous seminars, consultations and inspections were carried out to ensure compliance to the EU requirements,” the Ministry of Agriculture says.
According to Article 2 of this resolution, the decision enters into force on the 20th day since its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
Previously, it was reported that Kazakhstan plans to export meat to Türkiye.
