Kazakhstan to enter top 30 countries of the world - Ex Austrian Chancellor
ASTANA. September 11. KAZINFORM The World Economic Forum ranked Kazakhstan 51st in the global competitiveness ranking.
This is a big progress taking into account that last year Kazakhstan took 72nd place.
"It is not the first time that Kazakhstan demonstrates good results in the competitiveness ranking. It means political and economic reforms and programs of the country are carried out in the right direction," Former Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer stressed.
In addition, A.Gusenbauer emphasized that such progress is a rare phenomenon. Besides, economic reforms, positive trends are also observed in other fields, in particular in the sphere of education .
"For the future dynamics, attention should be paid, first of all, to the diversification of the country's economy. That is a departure from the dependence of the economy upon the cost of raw materials in the world market. Secondly, it is the "greening" of the economy, or in other words, the introduction of innovative and environmentally friendly technologies for the development of the economy. I would not be surprised if in the near future Kazakhstan will be able to enter into the top 30 countries of the world," the Austrian politician concluded.
