Kazakhstan to develop 865 agricultural projects worth KZT 2.6 trillion

Kazakhstan will continue to strengthen its position at the global food market. Despite spring floods Kazakhstan harvested over 26 million tons of grain hitting the record high, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at today’s solemn awarding ceremony on the occasion of the Republic Day, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.

The President said state support measures helped reach such results. He also expressed gratitude to all agrarians.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said this year concessional loans for the spring sowing campaign tripled. Extra funds were channeled for the leasing of agricultural engineering. 865 projects worth 2.6 trillion tenge will be developed in agriculture.

As earlier reported, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev decreed to award several Kazakhstanis for their great contribution to the social and economic as well as cultural and spiritual development of the country, strengthening of friendship and cooperation between peoples, active public work ahead of the Day of Republic observed on October 25.
