Kazakhstan to continue strengthening Kazakh language status, says President

President of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed Friday Kazakhstan will continue the policy of strengthening the status of the state Kazakh language, Kazinform Agency cites the Akorda press service.
Speaking at the meeting of the CIS Heads of State in Bishkek, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid utmost attention to the issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
He went on to point out the symbolic character of the fact this year is declared the Year of the Russian Language in the CIS, welcoming the upcoming signing of the foundation agreement and the Charter of the International Organization on the Russian Language at the CIS Summit.
