Kazakhstan to continue gradual switch to 12-year education

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has instructed the Government to continue gradual transition to the 12-year education model.

Speaking about the sphere of education at the enlarged session of the Government on Wednesday, President Nazarbayev stressed that gradual switch to the 12-year education system should be continued. "It is crucial to continue implementation of the Balapan program and gradual transition to the 12-year education model," the Head of State said. As for pre-school education, the Kazakh President especially stressed that ‘privatization of public kindergartens is out of the question'. The Kazakh leader also added that Kazakhstan needs more private kindergartens.
