Kazakhstan tо borrow 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas
ASTANA. September 4. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan will borrow 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas from China, Russia, and Uzbekistan," Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev announced at a meeting of the Government.
The last heating season, we took about 800 million cubic meters of gas. September 1, we reached the relevant agreements with Gazprom and we started to return gas. Up to November of this year, the debt will be closed.
"In turn, for the supply of the gas heating season of this year, we agreed with the Chinese, Gazprom, and the Uzbeks that will borrow 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas. Gas consumption is growing. Respectively, it will make 500 million cubic meters of gas for the heating season 2012, including December, 700 million cubic meters of gas for January, February and March of the next year," S. Mynbayev said.
According to him, the agreement with the Chinese side will be signed in the coming days.
