Kazakhstan to ban religious associations posing threat to health and family values

TANA. September 29. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ "Religious associations that pose a threat to heath and family values of Kazakhstan will be banned," chairman of the Agency for Religious Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Lama Shariff stated today at the Senate plenary meeting in Astana.
"The new draft law explicitly defines non-admission of religious associations whose activities imply violence or seriously injure or threaten marriage of Kazakhstanis," the chairman said.
At today's Senate plenary session the deputies approved the bill "On religious activity and religious associations".
