Kazakhstan threshed 12.8 mln ha of grain so far, Agriculture Minister

TANA. September 27. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakhstan has already threshed 12.8 mln ha of grain, Agriculture Minister Asylzhan Mamytbekov told a governmental telephone conference today in Astana.
This year it is planned to reap 16.2 mln ha of grain the countrywide. 12.8 mln ha of grain or 79% of cropping area have been threshed. Thereat, the average grain yield hits this year 15.8 centner/ha that is 7.1 centner/ha is more against the 2010 figures.
Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan region have already reaped wheat and barley harvest, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, West Kazakhstan and Almaty regions are to complete soon harvesting campaign of headed grain.
