Kazakhstan the most attractive and promising partner for Belarus – Alexander Lukashenko

ASTANA. May 29. KAZINFORM - Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan, met with Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, at the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the press-service of the Kazakh leader reports.

At the event Nursultan Nazarbayev said that the meeting of Heads of Customs Union and Common Economic Space Member States was taking place for the first time this year.

"There are a number of issues and draft resolutions to be debated. I think this meeting is very important and significant in preparation of documents for establishing the Eurasian Economic Union. As for the development of our bilateral relations - trade and economic cooperation has good momentum and considerable potential for growth. We have complementary economies and the Customs Union will contribute to their further development ", said the President of Kazakhstan.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit Kazakhstan and noted the important role of Astana in the integration process.

"Visiting Astana we are trying to learn something new. This city has got advanced technologies, and interesting architectural projects. We can see what suits Belarus, and we agree with your experts on various projects. We consider Kazakhstan the most attractive and promising partner for Belarus. We do not have any problems in implementation of various joint projects, and that shows the high level of our cooperation ", said the President of Belarus.
