Kazakhstan Temir Zholy prioritizes improvement of the country's logistic system

ASTANA. February 28. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC is negotiating with the world's largest operators on modernization of the Kazakh railroad. To this end the company's delegation paid a working visit to China, its press service reports.

Last November Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and "National center of transport logistics development" JSC signed memorandums of cooperation with the leaders of multimodal logistic services of China at the "Silk Way 2011" international transport logistic business forum. To elaborate a new concept of the company's development and modernization of the country's railroad the Kazakh delegation continued talks with partners from China. The delegation met with heads of Chinese large shipping operators such as Sinotrans&CSC holding Co.Ltd, COSCO Logistics int'l multimodal transportation Co., Ltd и China Shipping (Group) Company, "CRСT" (China Railway Corporation Transport Co.,Ltd) and «CRIMT»  (China Railway International Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd.).

The priority of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is to introduce world-class logistic products and create favorable logistic conditions in Kazakhstan. That is why the key point of negotiations was the company's participation in the "E-Train" project which will let Kazakhstan maximize its transit potential, the statement reads.
