Kazakhstan Temir Zholy plans to cut expenses - Mamin
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC will cut its expenses for 500 billion tenge in next 5 years, its President Askar Mamin has said ahead of the forum of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund in Astana today.
Mr. Mamin told Kazinform correspondent that the company plans to entirely revise its key business processes in cargo operations, passenger transportation, infrastructure and many other fields. "We benefit a lot from our partnership with such internationally-renowned companies as General Electric, Alstom. We want to adopt their best practices, in the first place, in order to improve the company's efficiency and the level of its corporate governance. In general, we expect to decrease our expenditures for more than 500 billion tenge within a special program until 2020," he added. In his words, a number of production processes will be revised as well.
