Kazakhstan takes part in OSCE conference against human trafficking
ANA. September 18. KAZINFORM. OSCE's conference "Prevention of Modern Slavery" under the aegis of the 9th Alliance Against Trafficking in Persons was held this week in Vienna; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA's press service.
Chairperson of the OSCE Permanent Council, Greek Ambassador Mara Marinaki, OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, OSCE Special Representative Eva Biaudet made speeches at the opening ceremony.
The issues of combating trafficking in human beings, influence of the global economic crisis on human trafficking, the media's role in combating trafficking in human beings and experience of the OSCE member states.
The Kazakh delegation consisting of the representatives of the state bodies, OSCE Center in Astana and nongovernmental organization "Sana Sezim" took part in the conference. It was headed by Ambassador at-large of the Foreign Affairs Ministry Madina Dzharbusynova.
M. Dzharbusynova told about the Kazakh Government's measures on countering and prevention of crime connected with trafficking in human beings.
