Kazakhstan takes part in creation of CIS Center for Nanotechnology Innovations

MOSCOW. July 2. KAZINFORM. /Arnur Rakhymbekov/ Forum on "Creation of International Innovation Center of Nanotechnologies of CIS Countries" is taking place on July 1-2 in Dubna, Moscow oblast.

The project on creation of the center was initiated in 2008 by Joint Institute for Nuclear Research of Dubna in association with the Russian research Center "Kurchatov Institute" with the support of the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation. Representatives of 11 CIS countries including Kazakhstan take part in the forum.

The center is planned to be established in Dubna as a single center for coordination of the formation of high-tech market in the nano-industry of the Commonwealth. It will become a flexible facility for implementation of venture projects using advantages of the free economic zone "Dubna". Its structure will include the center of collective use of scientific equipment, scientific educational center and technology transfer center.

About 100 representatives of the ministries, national science academies, commerce and industry chambers, scientific and educational centers, leading states and private corporations in the sphere of high technologies of the CIS member states take part in the conference.
