Kazakhstan successfully overcame several crises - President
ASTANA. May 3. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan has been developing dynamically and we have already overcome several crises, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has said delivering a speech of welcome at the 4th Astana Economic Forum today.
"The first crisis was the collapse of the Soviet Union, when our economy was fully stopped. The second one was the Southeast Asian crisis. Currently we are combating the third crisis which has spread the worldwide", N. Nazarbayev noted.
"I think we have put our country on a trajectory of sustainable economic growth", the President highlighted.
"Over the years of independence we could build not only our country, but also its capital city Astana. This is the indicator of development of Kazakhstan, its confidence in future", the Leader of Nation added.
