NSK. August 24. KAZINFORM /Aituar Mamlin/ Kazakhstan strives for creation of a world free of nuclear weapon. Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov has announced at a session of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other organs of the Commonwealth.
The Kazakh diplomat outlined announcement of August 29 as the International Day against Nuclear Tests by the UN General Assembly on Kazakhstan's initiative.
"Kazakhstan strives for creation of a world free of nuclear weapon. In this connection the country conducts huge work on informing the international community of impact of nuclear testing and danger of their continuing," A.Smirnov emphasized.
