Kazakhstan stands for prevention of religious, ethnic conflicts - President

ANA. July 1. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ "Kazakhstan stands for prevention of religious and ethnic conflicts", Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said making a speech at the III Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana today.

N. Nazarbayev noted that Astana, built at the interface of Asia and Europe, West and East, turns to be a center of effective interaction between different nations and religions. "We are proud of the tolerance of Kazakhstan's people that succeeded in keeping interconfessional consent and interethnic friendship. We try to share our positive experience with the world community", the President emphasized.

The Head of the State expressed confidence that the 3rd Congress would play a significant role in development of interconfessional consent and interaction of civilizations.

77 delegations from 35 countries take part in the event.
