Kazakhstan stands for development of interregional cooperation against new challenges and threats within OSCE
VIENNA. May 31. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ Within the framework of the OSCE Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the issues of development of interregional cooperation in order to fight new threats and challenges.
Kazakhstan continues its work within the OSCE 'Troika' - the body that ensures continuity in the work of the Organization. Our country heads the OSCE Contact Group for Cooperation with Asian Partners (Australia, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Korea, Thailand and Japan).
Kazakhstan's Permanent Representative to the OSCE Kairat Abdrakhmanov told it to Kazakhstan mass media in Austria on May 30.
According to him, many issues discussed at the Annual conferences with Asian Partners for Co-operation that was held in Ulan-Bator were about searching for a resolution of the problems connected with new challenges and threats that are emerging at the time of today in the OSCE region.
Several sessions were dedicate to consideration of the perspectives of economic cooperation, primarily security of the energy sphere, ensuring security of the transport infrastructure and human rights discussions were held as well.
