Kazakhstan should prepare for massive spring floods

"It seems that nature has been putting us to the test lately. Last year's drought had negative affect on agriculture. Severe winter weather causes problems in Zhambyl region, especially in the mountains of Karatau and Zhanatas. But there are no unsolvable problems. On the part of the Government we are always ready to help the regions affected by natural disasters," the Kazakh leader added.

In his words, heavy snowfalls may cause spring floods this year. And it is high time for the Government and all akimats to start thinking about adequate measures.
