Kazakhstan set to produce 60.5bln m³ of gas in 2024

Kazakhstan plans to produce 60.5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024, which is 2.3% more against the last year indicator, according to Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev, who said it at the Government’s weekly meeting today, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In January-June, the country produced 30 billion cubic meters of gas, or 49.5% of the yearly plan.

According to the Minister, commercial gas output in 2023 made 29.8 billion cubic meters. This year's plan  is to produce 29.8 billion cubic meters of commercial gas. In the first half of 2024, the country has already produced 14.9 billion cubic meters, or achieved a half of the planned volueme.

In 2023, of the total amount of commercial gas, 19.4 billion cubic meters were supplied to the domestic market.

The projected volume of consumption for 2024 is approximately 20.9 billion cubic meters.

Last year, the country extracted 1.6 million tons  of liquified petroleum gas. The same amount the country plans to produce this year.
