Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia officials discuss coop in tourism
ANA. August 26. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Commission for Tourism and Antiquities of Saudi Arabia Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud announced his plans to take part in the 18th session of the World Tourism Organization that will be held in Astana on October 2-9. Prince Sultan met with Kazakh Ambassador Kairat Lama Sharif in Riyadh, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
The sides discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism by signing a Memorandum on cooperation between the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sport and the Commission for Tourism and Antiquities of Saudi Arabia, organization of a seminar in Saudi Arabia for training of the members of the Kazakh Ministry on the issues of statistics in the field of tourism, experience exchange in the field of preparation and implementation of educational programs between special educational institutions in the field of tourism and interaction of tourist organizations of both countries.
Sultan bin Salman expressed interest in participation of the Saudi tourist organizations and investment companies in the First International Investment Forum "Akmola Investment - 2009", that is planned to be held on September 25-26 in Borovoye.
