Kazakhstan's Zarina Diyas reaches career high in WTA rankings

Diyas made a run in London reaching round four at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships and boosting her rankings. She succumbed to world's №3 Simona Halep from Romania in the fourth-round match. This amazing result allowed the 20-year-old Kazakh to leapfrog from №72 up to №53. Yaroslava Shvedova was comparatively stable maintaining her status of Number 1 of Kazakhstan in tennis. She moved 13 spots up to №52 of the WTA rankings. Russia's Maria Sharapova slid down to №6 after sensationally crashing out of the fourth round of Wimbledon.
