Kazakhstan's Zarina Diyas in top 85 of WTA rankings
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's Zarina Diyas has landed a spot in the top 85 of the WTA rankings for the first time in her professional career, Vesti. Kz web portal says.
The 20-year-old Diyas moved 8 spots up from №93 to №85 in the updated WTA rankings. Last week Zarina advanced to the Malaysian Open quarterfinal in Kuala Lumpur, where she succumbed to world's №9 Dominika Cibulková from Slovakia in three sets 6:4, 2:6, 4:6. Kazakhstan's №1 in tennis Yaroslava Shvedova currently rests on the 55th spot of the ranking. Galina Voskoboeva lost two spots and is №67 at the moment. Unlike Voskoboeva, Yulia Putintseva representing Kazakhstan went up in the rankings from №159 to №151. Sesil Karatantcheva preserved her standings and remained at №179.
