Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova climbs WTA rankings

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova has skyrocketed in the updated WTA ranking this week, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
By easing into the semifinals of the 2014 Brasil Tennis Cup, Shvedova deservedly secured the 64th place of the ranking moving up from the 79th.
Galina Voskoboeva, also from Kazakhstan, remains the best female tennis player representing our country as she ranks 60th. Zarina Diyas, Yulia Putintseva and Sesil Karatancheva all slid down in the ranking, taking №118, №158 and №159 respectively. As for the top 3 of the WTA ranking, the undefeated Serena Williams is still №1 with Li Na and Agnieszka Radwańska snapping at her heels.
