Kazakhstan's tourism industry to attract $7 bln in private investment
ASTANA. September 26. KAZINFORM The Government of Kazakhstan is pursuing ambitious goals for the development of the country's tourism potential, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev stated during the presentation of plans on the development of Kazakhstan's tourism industry.
"Today, we are developing five system plans aimed at the development of tourism in the country.
The first one deals with legislative adjustments, development of transport infrastructure, image component, and some other aspects.
The rest four plans are the development of tourism in East Kazakhstan region, the resort "Kinderli", the resort "Burabay", the development of ski resort around Almaty," Issekeshev said.
According to him, the new program will create up to 150 thousand permanent jobs and attract USD 5 or 7 billion in private investment. He added that the government also will invest funds.
"We want the program to be based on a public-private partnership. The system plans will be approved by the Government till the end of the year," Issekeshev added.
