Kazakhstan's Presidential Tennis Cup started in Astana
ASTANA. July 22. KAZINFORM - Annual International tennis tournament “Presidential Cup” of the series Challenger ATP for men and ITF for women has started in Astana today. It is reported by the press service of the metropolitan Department of tourism, physical education and sport, according to astana.kz.
The tournament involves famous tennic players from 20 countries of the world. Among them are Dudi Sela (Israel, 88 rating ATP), Teimuraz Gabashvili (Russia, 137), Ivan Sergeev (Ukraine, 177), Konstantin Kravchuk (Russia, 179), Marsel Ilhan (Turkey, 180), Maria Joao Koehler (Portugal, 160 rating WTA), Luksika Kumkhum (Thailand, 107), Nina Bratchikova (Russia, 139), Tamarine Tanasugarn (Thailand, 165) and Nadya Kichenok (Ukraine, 171).
The following No.1 tennis players of Kazakhstan will perform here: Andrey Golubev, Mikhail Kukushkin, Zarina Diyas, Kseniya Pervak and other young tennis players.
The total prize fund of the tournament amounts to $ 225 000 US.
Main matches start at the open courts of the National tennis center “Daulet” on July 22 and will be held at 10.00 every day. The finals and semifinals will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 12.00.
On July 28, at 11.30 there’ll be a family sporting holiday and relay races with the participation of tennis players.
