Kazakhstan's OSCE presidency to hold Conference on review of problems in sphere of security in Vienna

ASTANA. June 14. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "Annual OSCE Conference on review of problems in the sphere of security (EKOB) will be held in Vienna on June 14-16 by the Kazakhstan's OSCE presidency", official representative of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Askar Abdrakhmanov said at the briefing.

The Kazakh delegation at the EKOB will be headed by Deputy Foreign Minister, Special Envoy of the OSCE Chairman-in-office Konstantin Zhigalov.

According to him, topical issues of Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian security, state and prospects of the cooperation of the OCSCE member states in struggle against transnational threats, strengthening of measures of trusts and security, the role of the Organization in preventing and settlement of conflicts will be discussed at the Conference.

The situation in Afghanistan and activation of the OSCE participation in reconstruction of the country are planned to be discussed within special session.
